As an organization, we take the health of our employees and contractors very seriously. We have been regularly communicating through healthalertindia@rangam.com and sharing the latest updates and public health advisories from the WHO and the ICMR with our employees and contractors.

Our employees and consultants have been asked to:

  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
  • When washing hands isn’t possible, use an alcohol-based hand rub or sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Cover cough or sneeze with a tissue
  • Throw used tissues in the trash
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Stay home when sick
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe

Those that are at-risk, symptomatic, or have been in contact with an individual who is infected or symptomatic, or meet the below requirements, should reach out to us at healthalertindia@rangam.com. They are asked not to report to work, seek medical care, and notify us immediately.

  • An employee who is diagnosed with COVID-19
  • An employee who lives in the same household as, or is an intimate partner of, or who has been providing care in a non-healthcare setting for a person with symptomatic, laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 infection with or without using the CDC-recommended precautions for home care and home isolation.
  • An employee who has recently traveled to/returned from China, Italy, US, UK, Iran, Spain, South Korea or any other country where confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported
  • An employee having close contact with a person with symptomatic, laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 infection
  • An employee who was seated on an aircraft within 6 feet of a traveler with symptomatic, laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 infection
  • An employee who was in an indoor environment (e.g., a classroom, hospital waiting room) with a person with symptomatic, laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 infection for a prolonged period but not meeting the definition of close contact

In addition, if they have traveled to or through high-risk countries within the past month (or have plans to do so) or have been exposed to an individual who has traveled internationally to high-risk countries within the past month, please notify us immediately at healthalertindia@rangam.com.

COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, tiredness, dry cough and breathing issues.

COVID-19 can spread from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth which are spread when a person with COVID-19 coughs or exhales. These droplets land on objects and surfaces around the person.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Put distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community. Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing; throw used tissues in the trash. If a tissue isn’t available, cough or sneeze into your elbow or sleeve, not your hands. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, computers, phones, keyboards, sinks, toilets and countertops.   • Wear a facemask if you are sick. You should wear a facemask when you are around other people.
  • Have a supply of food staples and household supplies like laundry detergent and bathroom items, and diapers if you have small children.
  • Make sure you have health supplies on hand, including pain relievers, stomach remedies, cough and cold medicines, fluids with electrolytes and vitamins.
  • Know how your local public health agency will share information in your community and stay informed.
  • Learn how your children’s school or daycare, and your workplace will handle a possible outbreak. Create a plan in the event of any closings, event cancellations or postponements. If you care for older adults or children, plan and prepare for caring for them, should they or you become sick?
  • Help family members and neighbors get prepared and share the safety messaging with those who may not have access to it.
  • Call your doctor immediately if you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop symptoms.
